On the night of July 29, 4 people were killed in a mass shooting in Manhattan. The attacker opened fire in a skyscraper housing the offices of major financial companies and the headquarters of the US National Football League. The man arrived from Las Vegas and began shooting in the lobby of the building, leaving a woman alive who had exited the elevator. The shooting continued on the 33rd floor of the building. The shooter then committed suicide. In his official statement, the city's mayor Eric Adams reported that four people were killed, including a police officer.
